ANSWER TO Eric (below): That was Nina Gerber, the longtime accompanist of Kate Wolf (who wrote that song). Nina and Scott Nygaard each play on about half the songs on the Reason & Rhyme album, which I'm glad you love! Kathy recently got to play with Nina during a series of benefits for and tributes to Sarah Elizabeth Campbell, and digits are crossed that it'll happen again.
ANSWER TO Christa (below): What Do You Dream About? and, indeed, any of Kathy's CDs not currently available through CD Baby or County Sales or other outlets are available from us. Just write <[email protected]>. Thanks for your interest & support!
ANSWER TO Theresa (below): Kathy never recorded "My Florida Sunshine," but Claire Lynch did … on her 2010 Rounder album, "Whatcha Gonna Do." It's a Bill Monroe song from the 1970s.
ANSWER to Laurel (below): The Good Ol' Persons recorded my song, "Center Of the World," on "Part Of a Story." You can see all the lyrics and listen to it here. It's also part of Kathy's gospel collection, "Count Your Blessings," released in 2011. Thanks for your interest!
Big Thanks to everyone for all the kind words!
Looking forward to seeing you soon - KK

Dear Kathy, What a small world after all! After picking up your new CD "MY MOTHER'S VOICE at the Down Home Music Store this afternoon, and went in line to pay for it, and of all people, there was you in line in front of me! Weird but nice! Later...Just played the CD and it was most enjoyable. Loved the songs. The little drawings by your mom in the booklet are so cute! Great CD cover! Thank you Kathy for another great recording! Looking forward to your next concert! God Bless. Dennis Hollenbeck San Leandro, CA USA

The KK band made it great evening in Shingletown on June 23. Thanks to the band and to those who booked you! My wife, Gail, and good friends Tim and Nancy, from Redding, had the best time ever. You folks in the band are all great, but Tom is definitely a mandolin monster! Super job and come back again.

i heard the good ol' persons many times when i lived in the bay area, but now live in flagstaff. it's a little harder to keep up with music here, so i only recently discovered the walkin' in my shoes cd. i wanted to say that the harmonies are incredible! i especially love your version of "when i wake up to sleep no more"--it's even better than ralph stanley's version. this cd ranks with the best of bluegrass that i've heard in a while. what's next? when are you coming to flagstaff?

Hi Kathy, thanks for coming to the Bluegrass Fest in Sebastopol Feb. 18. I think your songwriting is very special and wonderful, not to mention your singing. I always love to see and hear Nina, too. So melodic and tasteful! Let us know when you will be back and if you want to bring the kids and Pete over for a meal and a get-together, we'd love to have you!

Hi, just wanted you to know I visited. I also read the interview Peter gave me and I know what it is like to wake up in the morning with song--not in me, necessarily, but in the swallows circling my terrace here, where you are sorely missed. Love, Terri
