ANSWER TO Eric (below): That was Nina Gerber, the longtime accompanist of Kate Wolf (who wrote that song). Nina and Scott Nygaard each play on about half the songs on the Reason & Rhyme album, which I'm glad you love! Kathy recently got to play with Nina during a series of benefits for and tributes to Sarah Elizabeth Campbell, and digits are crossed that it'll happen again.

ANSWER TO Christa (below): What Do You Dream About? and, indeed, any of Kathy's CDs not currently available through CD Baby or County Sales or other outlets are available from us. Just write <[email protected]>. Thanks for your interest & support!

ANSWER TO Theresa (below): Kathy never recorded "My Florida Sunshine," but Claire Lynch did … on her 2010 Rounder album, "Whatcha Gonna Do." It's a Bill Monroe song from the 1970s.

ANSWER to Laurel (below): The Good Ol' Persons recorded my song, "Center Of the World," on "Part Of a Story." You can see all the lyrics and listen to it here. It's also part of Kathy's gospel collection, "Count Your Blessings," released in 2011. Thanks for your interest!

Big Thanks to everyone for all the kind words!

Looking forward to seeing you soon - KK

Kathy, We'll be at Merlefest (that is - I'll be there along with daughters Amelia 19 and Jocelyn 15). Love to visit with you sometime during the festival - can you figure out when/where we might link up? In case you need a refresh, we were in LRY together in the Chicago area in the time period 1969-72 or thereabouts, my folks still attend North Shore Unitarian Church and my dad is a retired professor of musicology. I on the other hand am a very currently active professor of public health, bluegrass/old-time harmonica player, and love coming to Merlefest. Yours, Russ

Hi Kathy, I am a singer of latin and gypsy music, and was invited to Wintergrass by a friend in Pearl Django. Wow! What a treat to hear such a flawless singer! Being a fellow musician, you can understand how difficult it can be to enjoy music when it is "a bit rough". Well, we didn't have anything to worry about with you and your great band! Your show was honest, elegant, and exceptional. Thankyou for the beautiful hour of personality and talent we experienced in the Ballroom at the Sheraton Hotel today. We will find you, and come to see you again, Sincerely, Paula Tutmarc-Johnson

Kathy, I just wanted to drop you a note and tell you that every time I play something from one of your albums on my radio program "Bluegrass Express", I am struck again by the uniqueness of your sound. A few months ago, I featured your music - "Revisiting the Music of Kathy Kallick" - and thrilled at what great music you've put out over the years. Thanks for being so devoted to your craft and for refusing to be anyone's clone. I hope you'll keep releasing great music for years to come.

Just picked up O Sister 2 and heard "Hideaway" for the first time. Absolutely beautiful!! Then I noticed it's from an 8 year old record. Where in the world have I been? All the best to you and the band.

Kathy, We moved from Milwaukee to Alabama this summer. It's great you'll be at Merlefest next spring - let's make sure we get a chance to visit (remember, I'm that old time LRYer from the Chicago suburbs in the late 60s-early 70s). I play a mean bluegrass/old-time harmonica too . . . And if you have Birmingham on your calendar, make sure I know.

Hey Kathy and Peter Just had to write and let you know that "Use A Napkin (Not Your Mom)" was added to the playlist at Village 900 this summer from the "Mother" Sugar Hill compilation. I've got my (commercial free worldbeat/roots) radio show until the end of December 2002, and am really having TOO MUCH FUN listening to all this great music. Give us a shout next time you're in Victoria, and tune in on the web at www.village900.ca if you've got a hi-speed connection. I'm on 2:00 till 6:00 weekdays PST. Love and hugs Alison
