ANSWER TO Eric (below): That was Nina Gerber, the longtime accompanist of Kate Wolf (who wrote that song). Nina and Scott Nygaard each play on about half the songs on the Reason & Rhyme album, which I'm glad you love! Kathy recently got to play with Nina during a series of benefits for and tributes to Sarah Elizabeth Campbell, and digits are crossed that it'll happen again.

ANSWER TO Christa (below): What Do You Dream About? and, indeed, any of Kathy's CDs not currently available through CD Baby or County Sales or other outlets are available from us. Just write <[email protected]>. Thanks for your interest & support!

ANSWER TO Theresa (below): Kathy never recorded "My Florida Sunshine," but Claire Lynch did … on her 2010 Rounder album, "Whatcha Gonna Do." It's a Bill Monroe song from the 1970s.

ANSWER to Laurel (below): The Good Ol' Persons recorded my song, "Center Of the World," on "Part Of a Story." You can see all the lyrics and listen to it here. It's also part of Kathy's gospel collection, "Count Your Blessings," released in 2011. Thanks for your interest!

Big Thanks to everyone for all the kind words!

Looking forward to seeing you soon - KK

Hi Kathy; I talked briefly with you last night (Fri, Nov 16) at your Portland FolkMusic Society concert; which I thoroughly enjoyed. You have a delightful mix of trad. and new material and the beautiful harmonies are for sure the frosting on the cake. I purchased your latest album, Time, which I will be indexing for my website upcoming update, and I mentioned to you that I would like to also index the CD you mentioned, My Mothers Voice; so if you can send that to me; give me an email back, and I'll get you the details, etc. Thanks very much, Jane Keefer

Hi Guys, I was sent a copy of "Time" by our mutual friend Mac Martin and have enjoyed it immensely and airing it regularly on 91.3 WYEP-FM's "Bluegrass Jam Session. I got to see the "Good Old Persons" at the Elizabeth (PA) Moose Lodge several years ago. Hope to see you all in Western Pennsylvania sometime soon!! Thanks, Bruce Mountjoy

One of the pioneers of Bluegrass Music, Ms. Katie Laur, hosts a weekly radio show on Northern Kentucky University's public radio station WNKU -- Sundays 6-9 pm (if you're interested, they stream the program at wnku.org). Katie has been playing your beautiful recordings for years. My wife and I have been enjoying a warm evening on the front porch (with our radio) and Katie just played THOUGHTS OF LOVE AND HOME. There are only a handful of recorded songs as fine as that performance -- what a lovely thing to hear as the temperature dropped after the rain moved through.

Hi Kathy et al! While visiting my mom this past weekend, I found my old collection of cassette tapes, along with an old Walkman. I have been enjoying listening to Matters of Heart again. A lot! I noticed it isn't available on CD Baby, so I thought I would write and see if you maybe know where I can buy a digital copy. (Not sure how long the tape is going to last!) Good luck with the new album! All the best, Jenn B, Vancouver

I knew your mother back in the 50's and 60's, only as an acquaintance. I loved her voice and songs. I think I remember when she was pregnant with either you or your sibling(s). Your talent shines through with a reflection of your mother's talent. Glad I found you.

Hi Kathy, It was lovely hearing your voice on the radio last night here in the west of Ireland. It reminded me of how much Gordon and I had enjoyed the music of Good Ol' Persons and how you played at his memorial service. Thank you again for the enjoyment in hearing your voice again and for the memories it brought back, Liadain

Saw you for the first time at the WestSide Theater in the front row... Wow - did I enjoy your music and gracious, garacious, attitude. I purchased a couple of CDs and have not been able to stop listening. You have a great gift to give. Dave.

I saw the Kathy Kallick Band last night, 4-30-11, for the first time. I knew it was going to be a great show, and WOW...it surpassed my expectations. All of the band members were awesome. Not only with their musical instruments, but their voices and their singing were superb. The interactions with the young musicians was impressive. Overall - a must see. I wish I had a recording of the show. AWESOME - JLB
