ANSWER TO Eric (below): That was Nina Gerber, the longtime accompanist of Kate Wolf (who wrote that song). Nina and Scott Nygaard each play on about half the songs on the Reason & Rhyme album, which I'm glad you love! Kathy recently got to play with Nina during a series of benefits for and tributes to Sarah Elizabeth Campbell, and digits are crossed that it'll happen again.
ANSWER TO Christa (below): What Do You Dream About? and, indeed, any of Kathy's CDs not currently available through CD Baby or County Sales or other outlets are available from us. Just write <[email protected]>. Thanks for your interest & support!
ANSWER TO Theresa (below): Kathy never recorded "My Florida Sunshine," but Claire Lynch did … on her 2010 Rounder album, "Whatcha Gonna Do." It's a Bill Monroe song from the 1970s.
ANSWER to Laurel (below): The Good Ol' Persons recorded my song, "Center Of the World," on "Part Of a Story." You can see all the lyrics and listen to it here. It's also part of Kathy's gospel collection, "Count Your Blessings," released in 2011. Thanks for your interest!
Big Thanks to everyone for all the kind words!
Looking forward to seeing you soon - KK

Dear Kathy Kallick and Band Just listening to 'Warmer Kind Of Blue' while reflecting fridays concert here. Great CD - great show. Hope you all enjoy Europe (and its funny birds). Hope you have a few Arnold Schwarzenegger-jokes when in Austria.

Hi Kathy! Your CD "My Mother's Voice" was my thankful introduction to your music (and which I bought after seeing the ad in a Sing Out! issue) - I LOVE IT!!! - it's one of the few CDs I possess that I can bear hearing again and again and again!!! I want more now! Have you ever thought about coming Down Under? The famous Woodford Folk Festival at the WARM and SUNNY New Year, in Queensland, Australia would be GREAT for you! One day, I hope ... Cheers! Richenda.

Just wanted to thank you for a wonderful show at Rancho Nicasio. It's been too long since I've had your great music dancing in my head. And thanks to Amy, I went home and dragged out all my scratchy old Don Gibson records. That's right...Hillbilly Heaven.

Like connie mississippi below, I am becoming increasingly desperate to obtain a recording of "The Messenger". Will it be on "A Warmer Kind of Blue"?

Hi Kathy, Happy Birthday to you! Your birthday was mentioned on NWBluegrass website. You may not remember us, but my husband and I ate dinner at the same table one evening at Merlefest last year with you and Amy. You were mentioning that it was your daughter's prom night and you were sad to be missing it. My husband takes banjo from Nick Hornbuckle. We mentioned that, too. Anyway, we saw you and Laurie, and your band at Wintergrass, and then at Merlefest. We're so excited that you'll be returning to Wintergrass this year. We love your music & your voice. Just couldn't pass up the opportunity to say Hello and wish you a wonderful birthday. Andrea & Harold Saxton

Hello Kathy. Missed saying goodbye at the A1 Festival and wanted to say how much we enjoyed it and how well we thought of the group. We're probably not that good at expressing our appreciation. Sorefingers was such fun and you left us with so much to think about. I very much hope you will be back there again some day. Regards Lesley

Kathy, I have been a fan of your music for about 15 years when I discovered the music of The Good Ol' Persons through recordings. Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to see The GOP perform live. I have never seen you perform live either. However, I really enjoy the variety of songs that you write and I guess Part Of A Story might be my favorite. Well, anyway here's one guy who hopes that you make it to South Mississippi one of these days.
