ANSWER TO Eric (below): That was Nina Gerber, the longtime accompanist of Kate Wolf (who wrote that song). Nina and Scott Nygaard each play on about half the songs on the Reason & Rhyme album, which I'm glad you love! Kathy recently got to play with Nina during a series of benefits for and tributes to Sarah Elizabeth Campbell, and digits are crossed that it'll happen again.
ANSWER TO Christa (below): What Do You Dream About? and, indeed, any of Kathy's CDs not currently available through CD Baby or County Sales or other outlets are available from us. Just write <[email protected]>. Thanks for your interest & support!
ANSWER TO Theresa (below): Kathy never recorded "My Florida Sunshine," but Claire Lynch did … on her 2010 Rounder album, "Whatcha Gonna Do." It's a Bill Monroe song from the 1970s.
ANSWER to Laurel (below): The Good Ol' Persons recorded my song, "Center Of the World," on "Part Of a Story." You can see all the lyrics and listen to it here. It's also part of Kathy's gospel collection, "Count Your Blessings," released in 2011. Thanks for your interest!
Big Thanks to everyone for all the kind words!
Looking forward to seeing you soon - KK

I enjoyed your talking about bands, specifically regarding your bands experiences which is slightly related to my website called band book which is a tribute to my early musical years. Your website is very entertaining and enlightening. Have a great day Steve B.

Three years ago I found you cd 'Use a napkin not your mom' in my mothers second-hand bookshop. Once in a while I listened to it. On the same day you are in Belgium, I placed on an online order for Reason&Rhyme. Today I discovered your website, so I've missed your live performance. Perhaps I'm the only one of my age around here that also listens to bluegrass once in a while, but I don't care. I think I'll buy My Mothers Voice now; 'cause your lyrics and music are great!

Your concert in the Club Synchron in Dortmund, Germany was really great. With my head, I loved to hear the echos of the many nations that have, historically, contributed to North American traditional music. You also brought in influences from other areas of music: rock and roll, jazz. With my heart, I heard how vital this music is, how your own dedication and creativity flow into it, and how special your own take on this tradition is, how you contribute to a special kind of "west coast bluegrass sound". Keep up the fine work!!

Dear Kathy, as I told you yesterday night (8th April in Torino) the "last Kathy" I heard at the Folk Club was Kathy Chiavola with beloved Randy. I'm so happy the nice tradition "good music = Kathy" goes on! Thank you and all the band for the wonderful music and warmth. Now I've got a new favorite banjo picker!

Hello Kathy and friends, we were visitors of Your concert yesterday night in Dortmund, Germany, and we were really pleased with Your strong and heartful music!! Thanks a lot for a few wonderful hours in the middle of the "ruhr-area" in Germany's West. We all are bluegrassers, too, and we were at the same engaged in hearing and looking what the "aborigines" do with their instruments and voices. One friend said, on the way back home: "It's time to get my 5-string out of the case again!" No comment. All the best wishes to You, Your music and the rest of Your European tour!! Your's Werner from Krefeld, Lower Rhine area, Germany
